Why book an Engagement Photography Session?

Well, the cynics may claim that this is just another way for your photographer to get more money from you, but here at Photography by Anson we feel the cynic is missing the whole point of an engagement session, it is not there to get more money from you but it is there for education and of course the experience.
Education, whoose education? you may well be asking, well it's the education of both the photographer and the happy couple, the photographer learns about the couple, their likes and dislikes etc and the couple get to learn about the photographer, the way the photographer works and how they communicate etc and get an opportunity to see what it feels like to be photographed, as strange as it may seem most people are daunted by the thought of having their pictures taken by a stranger and very few people are totally relaxed in front of a camera, and this is where the Engagement Photography Session really comes into its own, it helps to break down any barriers between the photographer and the couple, so on their wedding day they are more relaxed than they would have been without the Engagement Photography Session.
So if you are getting married in the not too distant future and you have not yet booked an Engagement Photography Session then you may well be missing out on an experience that you'll not only remember for a long time but you'll also be missing an opportunity to add something special to the build up to your wedding.

What a lovely way to spend an hour or two walking along Clacton's sea front, taking photos of two very nice people.

We had such a good time with Ann-Marie & Gavin on their engagement shot and also their beautiful daughter Grace.

A couple more of Camilla & Robert's engagement shoot, they are such a nice couple and fun to be around, roll on 31st July 2010.

Had a great time with Camilla & Robert on their engagement shoot in and around Walton, we are really looking forward to photographing their wedding in the Old Library in Colchester Town Hall at the end of July.

A big thank you to Elaine's children & grandchildren for helping to make yesterday's photo shoot special, it was such a joy to photograph you all.

I'm just processing the images from Louise & Lee's pre-wedding shoot by the sea at Dovercourt.

We had a great day out on Sunday with Francine & Graham on a pre-wedding shoot, they were good fun to work with and we are so looking forward to their wedding in September, I've just finished sorting most of the images.
We are on another pre-wedding shoot tomorrow with Louise & Lee.
